Styles of Belt Edges

Standard Plate Edge

As the simplest belt edge, it is characterized by pieces of steel plates fastened to the cross rod by welding steel rings at the end for containing the integrity of the conveyor belt.

Standard Plate Edge

This type of edge features added reinforcing plates mounted to the conveyor belts before the connecting rod is welded. This design increases the width of belt as well as enhances the strength of t his belt.

Chain Link Edge

The chain link edges not only provide an alternative driving method but also make the belt much stronger than reinforcing plate edge.

Side Guard Edge

Side guard edges features erect side plates to protect conveying products from falling off from the belt. As your request, guard plates can also be mounted across the belt for food separation.

Honeycomb Belt

Flat Wire Conveyor Belts – Clinched Edge & Weld Edge.

Flat wire conveyor belts also known as Honeycomb belt, constructed of cross rods and flat metal strips, can provide an open mesh with flat surface, endless splicing, easy air circulation, excellent fluid drainage as well as ease of cleaning. Meanwhile, they are easy to maintain just replacing the section that is damaged or worn down. We also offer in double strip Honeycomb belt for Heavy duty purpose.

Two styles of belt edges:

The selvages the flat wire conveyor belts are available in clinched edge and welded edge as shown in the picture:

Clinched Edge

Features:

  • Large open area for excellent air circulation.
  • Optional side plates, reinforcing links and flights.
  • Strong edge avoids snagging or catching even there are conveyor protrusions.
  • Low maintenance.
  • Suitable for friction or sprocket drive.
  • Anti-slipping and last for years if used well.
  • Durable structure prevents belt from deforming under heavy loads.

Welded Edge

Application:

  • Food baking, cooling and freezing, etc.
  • Chemical industry.
  • Agricultural farming and harvesting.
  • Being used in discharging tower at ports.
  • Sorting, sieving and waste handling system.
  • Washing, drying, painting and transferring.
  • Acting as matting and drag mats.

Specification:

The description of flat wire conveyor belts is followed by its load capacity. Normally, there are standard duty belts and heavy duty belts for our customer to choose from according to their different needs. The standard duty type is sufficient for most applications and heavy duty type is ideal for heavy product conveying and some tougher conditions.

As your request, radius flat wire conveyor belts can also be supplied with right and left turn up to 180 degrees and reinforcing links to strengthen the outside edges of the belt. Its turning ability makes the belt capable to operate in limited space without obstacles and troublesome transfers.

Ladder Convey or Belt for Common Process & Loads

Ladder conveyor belt with S - Shaped Hooks

With the simplest structure, the ladder conveyor belts are composed of cross rods jointed by S-shaped hooks, chain links and U – shaped links. The belts with links are secured by welding a ring to the cross rod for containing the integrity of the ladder conveyor belts.

Four Main Types of Edges

Radius conveyor belts are available in four different edges including traditional fabricated & welded ends, U-shaped chain link ends, roller chain link ends with or without side plates as shown in the picture.

Chain Link End With Edge Plates

Traditional fabricated & welded ends :

As your requirements, radius conveyor belts can be welded or fabricated to form a stable straight or curved convey system. The cold butting and welds which connect the chain links and rods are welded toughly with minimum heats to ensure the structure of cross rods.
